It's been called Saturday Night Live for older people. That's because this unique Chattanooga, Tennessee senior theatre company takes on everything from the presidency to the medical profession to family reunions -- all with a humorous touch. Improvisation and musical numbers combine to create humorous and thought-provoking vignettes with a liveliness and creativity of the "new" older adult. Their original material is drawn from the company members' life experience and emits an honesty that appeals to audience of all ages.
The Ripe & Ready Players have been delighting fans across the Southeast for almost 20 years at conferences, college campuses, elementary schools, political caucuses, reunions, and festivals. Drawing on that experience, the troupe is able to adapt each performance to a particular audience, while also keeping elements of the show fresh and energetic.
