Join in the fun! The Chattanooga District Senior Olympics is the largest Senior Olympics competition in the state. Over 400 senior athletes competed in 2009 and the 2010 games are expected to be even bigger! The Senior Olympics is an annual athletic competition for adults age 50 and over. Athletes of all skills levels compete within their own age bracket.

The mission of the Senior Olympics is to promote healthy lifestyles through fitness, sports and active involvement in life. The key to living a long, happy, healthy life is staying fit. The Senior Olympics are an outlet for seniors to have fun while they work toward their fitness goals.
The Chattanooga District Senior Olympics are scheduled for May 3-8, 2010 and include many exciting events such as a torch relay through downtown Chattanooga leading to a kickoff celebration at First Tennessee Pavilion on Monday, May 3rd.
Competition is open to individuals who will be at least 50 years old by December 31, 2010 and who live in the state of Tennessee. Residents of Alabama or Georgia who live within 30 miles of Chattanooga are also eligible to play.
