Volunteerism
Our community needs your wisdom and experience!

Join the Senior Corps as an RSVP volunteer! RSVP stands for Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Free membership, including supplemental insurance, mileage reimbursement, and recognition events, is available to volunteers age 55 and older.

Make a Difference in Your Community!

RSVP works with over 45 different non-profit agencies in the Chattanooga area, and places volunteers in jobs that suit them and their personal interests. Volunteer opportunities range from hospital greeters to home-delivered meal drivers to zoo and aquarium helpers, just to name a few. Even if you would like to help with special events now and then - your donation of time is always welcome and needed.

Become a Senior Neighbors Volunteer

As an RSVP volunteer, you can even choose to volunteer with Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors. Our senior centers are always in need of volunteers to:

  • Teach educational classes such as Basic Computer, Interior Design, Cake Decorating, Arts and Languages, Nutrition, etc.
  • Lead Exercise and Dance Classes
  • Help with registration and serving meals
  • Help with Senior Olympics Registration, Materials and T-Shirt Distribution

We collaborate with those who share out ministry in carrying out our mission.
We promote healing of the whole person - body, mind and spirit - through physical, psychological and spiritual care of those whose lives we touch.
We serve the sick, aged, dying and unwanted of all socioeconomical levels, especially the poor.
We believe that all are created in God's image. Therefore, we treat all with respect.
We manifest God's presence in the world by a concerned approach and competant care of those we serve
