Volunteerism
Our community needs your wisdom and experience!

We're used to working all our lives, and volunteering has become an extenion of that. It gives us something valuable to do. Senior Corps.

Join the Senior Corps as an RSVP volunteer! RSVP stands for Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Free membership, including supplemental insurance, mileage reimbursement, and recognition events, is available to volunteers age 55 and older.

Make a Difference in Your Community!

RSVP works with over 45 different non-profit agencies in the Chattanooga area, and places volunteers in jobs that suit them and their personal interests. Volunteer opportunities range from hospital greeters to home-delivered meal drivers to zoo and aquarium helpers, just to name a few. Even if you would like to help with special events now and then - your donation of time is always welcome and needed.

Become a Senior Neighbors Volunteer

As an RSVP volunteer, you can even choose to volunteer with Senior Neighbors. Our senior centers are always in need of volunteers to:

  • Teach educational classes such as Basic Computer, Interior Design, Cake Decorating, Arts and Languages, Nutrition, etc.
  • Lead Exercise and Dance Classes
  • Help with registration and serving at Meal Events
  • Help with Senior Olympics Registration, Materials and T-Shirt Distribution
  • Assist with Event Planning of The Power Ball (our New annual fundraiser)
