keeping minds and memories active (414) 357-MIND (6463)
Everyone forgets a name or misplaces keys occasionally. Many healthy people are less able to remember certain kinds of information as they get older. Aging affects the way your brain stores information and makes it harder to recall stored information. Some change in memory is normal as we grow older and does not interfere with the ability to do everyday activities, such as cooking, cleaning or driving. A memory problem is serious when it affects your daily living. Forgetting someone’s name may not be a cause for concern, but forgetting how to do things you’ve done many times before, like driving to the store, may be an indictor. If you recognize any warning signs in yourself or a loved one, the Alexian Brothers Memory Treatment Center can help.
