WHO OWNS AND MANAGES ALEXIAN VILLAGE OF TENNESSEE?
Alexian Village is owned and operated solely by the Alexian Brothers, a Catholic order dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors.

WHAT IS A CCRC?
A CCRC offers a campus-setting with a variety of residential options; a full spectrum of services and amenities, and an invigorating lifestyle that empowers individuals to reach new heights of physical, social, intellectual and spiritual growth. A CCRC also offers an on-site continuum of care including assisted living, dementia care and nursing care.

WHAT IS A LIFECARE?
A Lifecare community is a type of CCRC that, in addition to offering all of the features common to CCRC's, also includes at its foundation a dependable plan for future care needs, assuring you the support of assisted living or skilled nursing care, if ever needed, at a predictable cost. A Lifecare community is an active, independent lifestyle chosen by people who wish to get the most out of life and seek the comfort of planning for the future. It is an affordable lifestyle representing estate and asset protection, and offering peace of mind – a priceless benefit in itself.

WHAT IS OFFERED IN INDEPENDENT LIVING?
Alexian Village offers a selection of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, each of which includes customizing options, wall-to-wall carpeting, a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious closets and separate storage units, individually controlled heating and cooling, assigned parking, smoke alarms, and an emergency call system.

The Lodge features two beautiful dining rooms, a café, private dining room, club rooms, beauty salon/barber shop, card rooms, communication center with high speed Internet access, library, creative art studios, woodworking shop, fitness and aquatics center including heated indoor and outdoor lap pools, guest suites, and more.

The services included in independent living are one meal per day, housekeeping, flat laundry service, scheduled transportation, cultural and social programs, all utilities except telephone, basic cable, maintenance of the apartment, building and grounds, and guaranteed access to assisted living, and skilled nursing care and memory support, if needed.

IS THE ENTRANCE FEE REFUNDABLE?
Yes.  A Declining Refund plan offers a prorated refund of the entrance fee over a ten year period.

WHAT ROLE DOES LONG TERM CARE INSURANCE PLAY?
Typically, when a person's care needs and related costs allow for reimbursement from a long term care insurance policy, the payment goes directly from the insurance company to the policy holder. Long term care insurance policies vary in numerous ways including your requirements for reimbursement. We recommend you contact your LTC Insurance provider to review the details of your plan.
